A ra­tion­al choice: ARKIL Holding uses otris whis­tleblow­ing system

ARKIL HOLDING GmbH is a medium-sized con­struc­tion company from north­ern Germany and has se­lec­ted an in­dic­at­or system ac­cord­ing to proven cri­ter­ia: Re­li­able, safe tech­no­logy at an optimal price-per­form­ance ratio.

The ARKIL Group com­bines the com­pet­ences of various service and pro­duc­tion areas in the con­struc­tion in­dustry. From asphalt pro­duc­tion to road con­struc­tion and civil en­gin­eer­ing to found­a­tion en­gin­eer­ing, ARKIL creates the basis for safe struc­tures and roads. With over 400 em­ploy­ees and a turnover of 155 million euros, the company is primar­ily active in Schleswig-Hol­stein, Mecklen­burg-Western Pom­er­a­nia and Berlin.

The new legal reg­u­la­tions on whis­tleblower pro­tec­tion promp­ted ARKIL to explore the market for a suit­able digital whis­tleblow­ing system.

After a short, thor­ough re­search, the company decided on the whis­tleblow­ing system from otris soft­ware.

“It was im­port­ant to us that the new system ful­filled the legal re­quire­ments, was easy to use and had low costs,” says Andreas Tusch, IT de­part­ment manager of the ARKIL Group, sum­mar­ising the main re­quire­ments. In ad­di­tion, it was im­port­ant to the IT man­agers that the system could be im­ple­men­ted quickly and in­teg­rated into the ex­ist­ing struc­tures in an un­com­plic­ated way.

otris im­me­di­ately con­vinced the ARKIL Group with its initial present­a­tion. “The whis­tleblow­ing system made a very well thought-out im­pres­sion and the con­sult­ants were able to answer all ques­tions com­pet­ently,” Andreas Tusch recalls. As ex­pec­ted, the tech­nic­al im­ple­ment­a­tion and the in­tro­duc­tion as a new company process went smoothly. “The otris con­sult­ants pro­ceeded very routinely – everything was pre­pared and done quickly.”

In use, the system im­presses with its ease of use and good over­view. Users im­me­di­ately un­der­stand all the im­port­ant basic func­tions.

The system answers the most im­port­ant ques­tions in a largely self-ex­plan­at­ory way: What happens when a new tip is re­ceived? How am I in­formed? How do I process the tip? How do I close a case after pro­cessing it? The system guides the user to process notices in ac­cord­ance with the law and warns of up­com­ing dead­lines. “Un­com­plic­ated, secure and good value for money,” is how Andreas Tusch sums up the fea­tures of otris whis­tleblower and adds: “We are com­pletely sat­is­fied with the otris whis­tleblow­ing system.”
