Companies have two options for using AI features within otris solutions. The same range of features is available with both options – you decide which best meets your requirements:
- Connect your own AI provider. otris provides the technical interface required to connect an AI provider of your choice that is supported by otris and covered by your own contract. This allows you to determine which AI model is used and select a provider that meets your requirements for data protection, security and data processing.
- Use an AI service provided by otris. This option does not require a separate contract with an AI provider. It also meets stringent compliance and data protection requirements.
The AI features are continuously enhanced and adapted to meet new requirements and use cases. This enables companies to benefit not only from current applications but also from future enhancements.

Can I choose the AI provider myself?
Yes. You can choose which AI provider and AI model you wish to use from among those supported by otris. You can either connect your own AI service to your otris solution or use the AI service provided by otris.
Where is the AI service provided by otris hosted?
The AI service provided by otris runs on AWS infrastructure. Data is processed in a data centre within the EU. Content processed by the service is not used to train AI models. All processing complies with stringent data protection and compliance requirements under German law.
Use of the AI service provided by otris is optional. Companies can instead connect their own AI service supported by otris or choose not to use the AI features. Further information and documentation are available on request.
Does AI make decisions automatically?
No. otris copilot assists with the preparation of information, the analysis of content, and the identification of opportunities and risks. The technical decision remains with the data controllers.
